Alright, time to own up, Yanks

A quick glance at the flag thingymajig in my sidebar indicates that the overwhelming majority of the readers of my dribble are in America. How the heck is this possible? Who are these people? Why do none of the rest of you with flag counters have America invading you?

The UK hits make sense, as do the ones from Germany and Ireland.

I want to bloody know. Own up, Americans! What are you doing here? What do you want from me?! WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT!

P.S. If any of you feckers say it's something to do with my, like, totally un-American accent, I'll, like, get totally pissed, dude.

Dude, like, totally whatever. I get looooads of yanks too.

I like to sneak a look at the ip locations of all my visitors and the vast majority are links to a picture of a naked girl in a mud pit that I put up for Nick's birthday (which I have now deleted, although they still keep coming to it somehow :/), along with, er, lots of 'key words' on Google that bring up various posts from when I went to Amsterdam...

But seriously: how does that stats counter work? Does it count where the server is, or where the reader / computer is located?

If I were blogging from work (which I would never ever do coz it's strictly prohibited *ahem* *COUGH* ), I might be registered as "from USA" because that's where our server sits, although I'm physically in GE.

    I reckon AL is onto something. Cos our server is in Holland, and I am not, but i notice I seem to get a lot of Dutch ads popping up if I come on here from work, which like AL is of course a very rare occurrence

Ah man at the risk of sounding like a total bell-end, how do I add that counter thing to my page? I've gone through the whole process of getting one, but I can't figure out where to put the code or the link on my page? It's totally melting my brain!
